Active Grow lights have been a great all around light. They produce beautiful reds in your lettuce, strawberries and beets. Don't waste your time on long drawn out searches for grow lights on YouTube these 'absolutely' will work for you.

These grow lights are absolutely crushing it in regards to my seed starts. Over in cloudy Seattle we have lots of overcast days, and these lights have been a huge help in getting my garden growing! A huge upgrade off some cheap LED lights I bought a few years ago.

I've been switching over to LED units as my t5 fluorescent fixtures die. I'm glad I found Active-Grow- their products are obviously high quality and I have seen great results with my orchid collection that spends the winter indoors under lights.

At 4 feet long and about a foot wide it feels pretty big, but is still pretty light weight. Puts out a good amount of light, the only dimming option is to only run 2 bulbs instead of all 4 though. The bulbs don't come installed and they are directional with no good guide to show which way they go, but reversing them doesn't damage them so you just flip them if they don't turn on.

I got this to replace some of my 2 bar lights in my grow room and I'm really happy with the light output and how light weight it is. Setup is a breeze and it's nice to simply have one fixture per shelf versus the two I usually have. It also saves on plugin space.

I had been looking around for a LED solution that would fit inside the adjustable fluorescent fixtures on my 4-level FloraLight unit which is at least 20 years old. After removing the old ballasts, wiring, and switches, then drilling some holes, the Active Grow 48" lights can be attached. I used eight 1/4" bolts with washers, but a dozen beefy sheet metal screws would probably work too. The result is lighter units that are easier to adjust up and down, more light, better light, less heat and no need to replace and recycle used fluorescent tubes. The only down sides are that the switches aren't quite as accessible, and the daisy chain outlet is blocked -- both minor matters which could be alleviated.

I bought the older 1.0 version so I am not familiar with the new housing changes for the 2.0 version. But I really like the 1.0 version I have now.

Plants LOVE THIS LAMP. My veggie seedlings' growth exploded under this fixture. It puts out a lot of light. I initially had 2/4 of the bulbs inserted incorrectly- and thought it was defective- but the seller quickly helped me troubleshoot the issue.

Well made and excellent for vegetable seedlings. I use a plant light mostly to grow vegetable seedlings to plant in my garden. With previous lights, my seedlings tended to be tall and spindly. This year I bought the 4 lamp fixture with the sun white spectrum. It is far brighter than my previous lights. Seedlings of tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables were by far the best I've ever grown--fast-growing, compact plants with strong stems and excellent leaf color. The fixture is very solidly constructed and was easy to hang with a chain to adjust the height.

Using the light to grow plant starts. The starts were already up and growing by the time I bought the light. Haven't noticed any fast growth but that could be because I don't have heat under the seedlings and the house isn't overly warm. All appear to be healthy with thick stems.

Used this light for starting garden plants (edible and flowers) indoors. Works amazingly well - my tomatoes have never grown so fast and my peppers have never looked this healthy. Almost too well - the tomatoes outgrew the space very fast! Definitely recommend and intend to get more for next year.

The only complaint I have is with the hanging mechanism - the hanging hook is about 6 inches off the top of the light, meaning for those of us growing on shelves, you have 6 inches of dead space between the light and shelf above from which the light hangs. I managed to rig up something using carabiners on either side to force the light higher, but would be nice if the hanging mechanism were on the light itself as with the old school shop lights.

Grow vegetables indoors all year from seed to harvest using Active Grow sunlamps. I started out with the Active Grow SunWhite 8 lamp T5 fixture. My tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers did so well that I decided to convert all my T8 fluorescent fixtures into ballast free to use T8 Active Grow SunWhite bulbs too (T8 review starts at 2:23). I have harvested so many awesome tasting vegetables. My lettuces did phenomenal under these grow lights. The hardiness and texture were way better than when I was using full spectrum fluorescent. Great Product. Impressed with this product. My Bell peppers have done incredibly well under this light. Ordered a second light, have the 2 foot and 4 foot light. Seedlings grew so fast, needed the larger light to allow for them to spread out. The pepper plant leaves are broader than what I've grown under fluorescent T5. Another benefit, my plants are not leggy. Stalks are nice and thick. You can pull the light close to the plants after they sprout which was great at first. Eventually moved the light about 18? above them as they have grown larger and continue to grow. Plants have a nice Bush appearance. Also obtained great results with parsley and am now staring cabbage, tomatoes, basil and believe they will do just as well. This light definitely has given me a jump on the growing season which can be tempermental at times where I live.

These seedlings I started about 5 weeks ago are now thriving in my garden. I usually supplement those plants with others I pick up at the nursery to fill in gaps. Not this year. Retail inventory of seedlings was horrible, and so was the quality! And my latest happy discovery this seed-starting round is my new grow lamp system. I love trying different lighting systems in hopes of finally settling on a favorite. Over recent years as I was creating my Master Seed-starting online course, I trialed many options from basic fluorescent shop lights, to high-end LED rigs and more sophisticated T5 fluorescent systems. Recently I was invited to try and keep (at no cost to me) a 24W T5 lamp and fixture from Active Grow. I've trialed several more basic LED shop light rigs in the past but the results were just average. But not this one. It's definitely got my attention. These lamps were clearly designed for indoor growing, with high PPF efficiency (the amount of quality light frequency usable by the plants), and higher energy efficiency (none of the heat energy wasted by the fluorescent alternatives). Over 5 weeks of growing time under this system, the plants performed very well - no legginess, nice compact plants, great color, and no light-burn. You can buy just the lamps that plug and play into existing T5 fluorescent fixtures (4 lamps cost about $139), or you can buy the lamps and fixture for around $219 for the 2x4 ft size - perfect for evenly lighting 4 standard trays on a self. The seedlings here were growing under the Sun White Pro lamps and I was very happy with the results. high performance, low cost. This lamp has been phenomenal since turning it on from day 1, I noticed immediate growth improvement. I could not be happier with the performance of these lamps and recommend to anyone.

Great light. The light is great. Perfect for the indoor grow tent I have and puts out a nice, bright, even light. I love it.

Performing LED at excellent value. Amazing light. Almost no heat output - be sure to plan for that! Also, the switch allows you to turn on only 2 or all 4 bulbs. Excellent light spectrum. These fixtures and bulbs are great for growing orchids. I'm seeing excellent growth & blooming!

I believe the light worked really well! Some of my tomatoes got a little stressed they received so much light. Don't get the lights too close. For the first few weeks I had been using a weaker setup.

So good! As I upgrade my grow lights, I'm going all LEDs. This grow light has so much going for it. First off, it's long, so I can fit four flats directly under it. Secondly, it's slim (in terms of height), which is great because every inch counts. It also has a pleasing color temperature, so it's not an obnoxious typical LED-colored light if you need to be in the room with your grow lights.

There are two switches so you can run it at half power or full power. There's also an auxiliary outlet on the side, which I didn't use but it's nice to know it's there if I have to daisy chain another light to it in the future.

It runs cool and quiet, unlike some LEDs that have loud, obnoxious fans, so that's a huge plus. As for performance, it worked great. All of my seedlings grew very well and far better than under fluorescent lights, which can burn foliage because they have to be so close to the plants.

This is an excellent light. I'd love to upgrade my entire system to this light.
